Geneva Dixon

Geneva (Bill) Goins Dixon, a resident of the Benton Station Community, passed away Saturday, December 01, 2007 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of the Benton Station Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress from Benton Manufacturing.

Mrs. Dixon was the daughter of the late Ed Goins and Ada Droke Goins and was also preceded in death by her husband, James "Dick" Buford Dixon who passed away on July 6, 1998 and a sister, Jessie Cook.

She is survived by her sisters: Annabelle Gregg and family and Grace Smith and family; brothers: G.B. Chubb and Rosetta Goins and family, Stanley and Elenora Goins and family; nieces and spouses: Nell and Gene Brackin, Marie Maynor and Judy and Joe Higgins; nephew and spouse: Billy and Billie Cook; special great-great nephew and spouse: Travis and Kelly and children, Shelby and Colby Maynor.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Benton Station Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Benton Station Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony. Pallbearers will be Bill Cochran, Dub German, Ed Lawson, Jack Maynor, Danny Maynor and Bill Cook.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at Higgins Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the Benton Station Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 488, Benton, Tennessee 37307.
