Reverend Herbert Billy Colley, 75, a resident of Reliance, passed away Monday, September 17, 2007 at his residence. He was the pastor of Lost Creek House of Prayer for seven years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was also a chaplain at the VFW Post 7974 in Benton. He was a juvenile counselor.

He was preceded in death by his father Roy Lester Colley and stepmother, Bertie Colley; mother Ida Mae Rose and stepfather, Ray (Rosie) Rose; grandparents, John Martin Colley and Alice Colley.

He is survived by his wife, Lecia M. Colley of Reliance; daughter and son-in-law, Larita and Ralph Wright; stepchildren: Vicki and Dwight Rymer of Benton, Billy Stiles of Reliance, Bobbie Woods of Benton, Candy and Alex Satterfield of Benton, Samuel and Cindy Stiles of Benton; two grandsons: Jason Mieras Wright and Aaron Lee Wright both of Green Cove Springs, Florida; twelve step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Muriel Dean Colley Hayes of Cleveland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the Lost Creek House of Prayer with Reverend Red Woodard and Reverend Paul Gregg officiating. Interment will follow in Stiles and Colley Cemetery.

His family will receive friends Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 6-9 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
