Maggie Louise Clark

Maggie Louise Shelton Clark, 72 a resident of Benton, passed away Friday April 25, 2008 in a Cleveland healthcare facility. She was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Shelton and Ora Bramlett Shelton; husband James Hoyt Clark; brothers, Grady Eugene Shelton, Hubble Shelton, and Michael Shelton; sister, Nina Chapman.

She is survived by her son, Erskin and wife Faye Clark of Cleveland; Daughters, Charlene and husband Ronnie Bates of Benton, Darlene Blackwell of Benton, Melissa and husband Jimmy Edwards of Cleveland; brothers, Eulain "Poley" Shelton Smithville, TN, Curtis and wife Pam Shelton of Alexandria, TN, Jeffrey Shelton of Smithville, TN, sisters; Aundra and husband Jack Hale of Alexandria, TN, Elizabeth Frazier of Alexandria, TN, Angela and husband Terry Clabough of Cleveland, TN; sister in-law Kathryn Shelton of Etowah, TN; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 28, 2008 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Moore, Reverend Wilfred Wright and the Reverend Earl Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookson Creek Cemetery. A white dove ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday April 27, 2008 at the funeral home.
