Winfred Cecil Campbell

W. C. Campbell, age 71, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and had sung with Karie's Gospel Group and other gospel groups. Mr. Campbell was the son of the late Hershel and Daisy Hall Campbell and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Lee Campbell, two brothers: Leland Campbell and Euclid Campbell; two sisters, Janie Campbell and Jewel Dabbs.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Campbell of Cleveland; four children and spouses: Deaver and Ronnie Jones of Reliance, Mary Jane Campbell of Cleveland, Winfred "Wicky" and Janice Campbell of Benton and LaVan and Glen Matthews of Niota; grandchildren: Jerry and Tonyia Jones of Delano, Brad and Jennifer Jones of Charleston, Amanda and Tracy Ingram of Reliance, Angie Campbell of Cleveland, Quintin Campbell of Benton, Fawna and Nick Willis of Cleveland and Duwanna Matthews of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Tanner and Cara Jones, Chloe' Jones, Callie Ingram, Alexis Campbell, Rhiannan Ramsey and Hazen Willis; three sisters: Ovalee Wilson and Almetia Silvers both of Cleveland and Grace Anderson of California; two brothers and spouses: Hoyt and Frances Campbell and Gilbert and Joann Campbell all of Reliance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Fairview Baptist Church in Reliance with Reverend Bobby Green and Reverend Wilford Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with the release of white doves concluding the service.

His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Higgins Funeral Home.
