Dorothy Bishop

Dorothy M.B. McDonald Bishop, age 76, a life long resident of Ocoee, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a member of the 411 Baptist Church. Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late Robert and Lucy Morgan McDonald and she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey (Red) Brandefield and three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Billy F. Bishop of Benton; step children: Phyllis Bradley and husband Jerry Bradley of Cleveland, Cindy Morrison of Ocoee and Jeff Bishop of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO; grandchildren: Charlotte Bradley of Cleveland, Tijuana Marsh of Athens, Jerry and Donna Bradley, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA and Sydney Bishop of Ocoee; three great-grandchildren: Rebekah Marsh of Athens, Jonathan Bradley and Jordan Bradley both of Milledgeville, GA; three sisters: Louise Bates of Benton, Edna Link of Benton and Mary Lou Franks and husband, Eddie Franks of Benton; one brother, Johnny McDonald of Benton; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend David Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens with the release a flock of white doves concluding the service.

Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
