Angela D. Lewis, 58, of Benton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.
She was an active member at First Baptist Church of Benton. She was a faithful volunteer with American Red Cross. Also, she was on the board at West Polk Friends of the Library. Angela enjoyed playing the piano, reading books and loved spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Along with her mother, Helen Bates, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Lennis Edward Bates, Jr. and sister-n-law, Shani Music Bates; grandparents, Benson and Lela Mae Richardson, L.J. Bates and Hester Lillard Bates.
Survivors include her husband, Wendall “Buster” Lewis, Sr.; loving father, Lennis Edward Bates, Sr.; beloved children, Nicholas (Katie) Lewis and Wendall Scott (Annette) Lewis, Jr.; above all, one of her most cherished memory was spending time with her grandson, Grayson Lewis and beloved fur baby, Diesel. A host of friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Benton with Pastor, Dr. Robert Speights officiating. Interment to follow at Old Ocoee Baptist Church Cemetery with Houston Jackson, Gabe Gamble, Scott Lewis, Brett O’Dell, Terry Thompson, Nicholas Lewis and Grayson Lewis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Pete Pharr, Tim Green, Lige Thomason, Dewey Davis and Kurt Brown.
Her family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020, prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Benton.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Polk Friends of the Library.
