Brenda Joyce Plumley McDade, 71, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 16, 2021.
She was born on November 17, 1949, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Reverend Milburn and Lucille Gibson Plumley. Throughout life, Ms. Brenda loved going to church and listening to gospel music. She enjoyed a successful career at then, Athens Regional Medical Center, where she practiced as a Patient Care Tech. An avid gardener, she also enjoyed working with crafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sharon Plumley, Ernestine Cummings, and Ann Cummings; one nephew, Gary Lowe.
Survivors include her beloved children, Laura (Tiffani) Murray, Kimberly Morris, Kristi (Billy) Ingram, and Jeffery (Jennifer) Morris; grandchildren, Nathan, Charlie, Sarah, Christopher, Jodie, Isaac, Hunter, Tyler, and Jacob; six great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Meadow Fork Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Morgan and Pastor Ray Ingram officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery with her family serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
