Burch G. Cronan

Burch G. Cronan, 78, a resident of Benton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. 

Mr. Cronan was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.  He enjoyed playing any type of string instrument and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harve and Lillie Mae Cronan; siblings, L.C. “Bud” Cronan, Frank “Slick” Cronan, Virgil “Jack” Cronan, William “Bill” Cronan and Flossie “Honey Bee” Wooten.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Lucile Cronan; beloved daughters, Teresa (Terry) Shelton, Glenda (Billy) Chastain and Shelly Brooks; grandchildren, Jessica Stinnett, Teryn Wimberley, Dustin Chastain, Kristen Chastain, Logan Brooks and Jadyn Brooks; siblings, Pearl Coleman, Ruth (Harley) Seay and Bobby Gene (Patsy) Cronan; great-grandchildren, Dezzaray Chastain and Dexious Stinnett.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Jenkins officiating. 

Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Benton Memorial Gardens with Tanner Swann, Terri Shelton, Dustin Chastain, Logan Brooks, Anthony Seay, Scott Corvin and Billy Chastain serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
