Carolyn R. Harper

Carolyn R. Harper, 72, of Old Fort, departed this life on November 1, 2021, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born on March 30, 1949, to the late Marvin and Mirl Raymond Poss and graduated from Dibrell High School in McMinnville, TN as valedictorian of her class.

Throughout life, Ms. Carolyn had a strong relationship with her Lord and Savior and enjoyed listening to the Goodman Family featuring the Gaither Vocal Band.  She loved her family dearly, especially the many moments of their time spent together. 

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved husband, Joe Harper; loving children, Melanie Womack, Cristi (Brian) Waters, Diane (Will) Hayden, and Amy Harper; cherished grandchildren, Ashland Behling, Colby Schleif, Braxton Waters, Connor Waters, Olivia Brackett, Destiny (Aric) Sutherland, Brianna Morgan, Catherine Hayden, and Brian Hayden; great-grandchildren, Isaac Green, Arian Lane, Milo Chapman, Zachariah Sutherland, and Harper Sutherland; brother, Austin (Carolyn) Poss; niece, Shannon Poss; nephew, Brandon (Shannon Ashley) Poss; great nieces and nephews, McKenzie Marske, Ruby Jimenez, Jade Hibpsham, Daniel Jimenez, John Austin Jimenez, and Nik Poss; great-great nephew, Jayden Maupin.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. (noon) on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Benton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gus Hernandez officiating.
