Charity Ann Burnette

Charity Ann Burnette, 47, of Cleveland, departed this life peacefully on November 13, 2022, with her beloved family at her side.

She was born on January 28, 1975, in Hamilton County, Tennessee to the late Jimmy and Sharon Deborah Horner Bowman.  Throughout life, Charity grew to be a kind soul who loved spending time with her friends and family on every occasion possible.  She enjoyed singing karaoke, playing video games, and listening to music, especially the early 90’s and 2000’s hip hop and R&B.  Mama loved to dance when she was able and had a characteristic laugh that brightened each room that was blessed with her presence.  She was a caring person and would give anyone anything if able which made her the person she will be remembered as.

In her later years, one of her fondest memories was being able to be a Mamaw, which made her feel as if she was the luckiest person in the world. A temper that few ever saw, she always stood up for herself, her girls, and her friends when needed and was loved by so many people and will dearly be missed.

In addition to her parents, Jimmy, and Sharon Deborah Horner Bowman, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeffery Lewis Burnette.

Left to cherish the many memories include her loving daughters, Kristina, and Clint Prince, with their children, CJ Prince, Ayden Prince, Acen Prince, and Jaxon Prince, and Laura Burnette; brother, Bo, and Jennifer Bowman with their children, Brandon Bowman, Jamie Bowman and her child, Alaina; ex-husband and the father of her daughters, Jeffery Burnette; cousin, Claud Mowery; best friend of 29 years, Jennifer Spurling. A host of beloved friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Bald Hill Cemetery in Birchwood, with Logan Morgan presiding.
