David A. Broersma

David “Dave” Allan Broersma, 43, went to his eternal home with the Lord, March 12, 2024, at his home in Old Fort, Tennessee. 

Dave was born December 9, 1980, in Modesto, California to Bill and Malenda Broersma. 

He was a 2000 graduate of Johansen High School in Modesto, California.   After high school he went on to attend Golden State Baptist College, in pursuance of becoming closer to God. He answered God’s calling for him to preach and started his mission at Springs Valley Baptist Church in Jenny Lind, California in 2003. 

In 2005 he moved to Old Fort, Tennessee to be closer to his family and friends. He attended church at Marantha Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. Dave loved all those he met over the years and was very active in his church and community. He loved taking pictures and performing live church podcasts and discussions. Dave was loved by many, and his presence will be greatly missed among us all.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andy and Laura Broersma and maternal grandfathers, Jesse Cooper, and Ray Davy, as well as many other beloved family members.

Dave was survived by his father and mother Bill and Malenda Broersma. His brother Will

(Brandie) Broersma, his nephew, Tre, and niece, Adeline, of Tullahoma Tennessee, and his

grandmother, CeCe Davy of Reno, Nevada, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Marantha Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee with Brother Robert Nelms officiating. 

There will be a fellowship following the service to share your favorite memories of Dave.
