Emo Jean Woody, of Delano, departed this life peacefully on May 9, 2022, at home surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born on January 29, 1942, in Jessup, Georgia to the late Richmond Arlo Royals and Irby Cora Lee Royals.
Throughout life, Ms. Woody developed a strong passion for serving the Lord and being with her family. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Golf View Park Church of God in Lake Wales, Florida where she enjoyed picking up children and bringing them to church. A few of her many talents include learning herself how to play the piano and loved singing. In her later years, she moved to Blairsville, Georgia and joined Jones Creek Church of God. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Richmond and Irby Royals, she was preceded by one granddaughter, Heather Lynn Miller; brothers and sister-in-law, Julian and Mary Royals, Willie Royals; nephew, Jammie Royals.
Left to cherish the many memories include her loving children, Riley Eugene Woody, Brenda Lee Habash, Janet Lee Parent, George Jeffrey Woody, and Glance Reese; siblings, Quinton (Dymple) Royals and Irby Janice (Bobby) Colvin; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Delano Cemetery, with Pastor Ray Escoe officiating.
