Eula Mae Merrell

Eula Mae Lee Merrell, 84, of Reliance, went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 9, 1937, to the late Wilford and Bertha Morgan Lee, Eula Mae was a member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church and loved worshipping with her church family.  She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

In addition to her parents, Wilford and Bertha Lee, she was also preceded by her beloved husband Hubert Merrell; brothers, Rufus Lee and Randy Lee; sisters, Marcilla Green, Polly Hall, and Clara Nell Webb; infant grandson, Joshua Rymer.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved children, Ray (Shirlene) Merrell, Patricia (Rev. Bobby) Rymer, and Debbie (Bill) Swaggerty; grandchildren, Sarah (James) Gentry, Dustin (Heather) Hall, Megan (Adam) Martin, Alisha (Stephen) Kincaid, Makayla (Nick) Farner, Gretchen (Brad) Thompson, Tim Rymer, Hannah (Jordan) Tallent, and Pamela Swaggerty; siblings, August (Melba) Lee, Frank Lee, Willene (Jerry) Ervin and fourteen great-grandchildren.  Numerous extended family members and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Reverend Bobby Rymer and Reverend Vernon Webb officiating.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Morgan Cemetery with Dustin Hall, Tim Rymer, James Gentry, Adam Martin, Jordon Tallent, and Hunter Qualls serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
