Evelyn Marie Ledford

Evelyn Marie Ledford, 69, of Benton, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021 surrounded by her beloved family.  She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and was an avid collector of various items.  Evelyn loved spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Ledford was born on April 15, 1952 in Turtletown to the late Amos and Juanita Womble Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Ledford; son, David Ledford; siblings, Janice Parks, Danny Miller, and Jackie Miller; brother-in-law, Frank Ledford; niece, Tracy Wilson.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Leonna “Ann” Emerson; grandchildren, Labron Harrold, Daniel Harrold (Samantha Banks) and Joshua Emerson (Angel Jackson); great-grandson, Labron Xavier Harrold; siblings, Ellen (John) Grizzel, Ronnie (Calla Mae) Miller, and Cecil (Pat) Miller.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Homer Roberts and Reverend James Guinn officiating.  Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery with Labron Harrold, Daniel Harrold, Joshua Emerson, Cody Caputo, Anthony Caputo, and Caleb Cherry serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.  – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021 and from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
