Guinn Passmore, 86, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on August 22, 2023, at a local hospital.
He was born on August 10, 1937, in Turtletown, Tennessee, to the late Olin and Bonnie Pate Passmore. Guinn attended Shiloh Baptist Church and was retired as a machine operator from M&M Mars.
Throughout life, he greatly enjoyed camping and spending time with his cherished family and friends. A few of his fondest memories include the countless hours spent on the golf course and being an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan.
In addition to his parents, Olin and Bonnie Passmore, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Diane Passmore; siblings, Gerald Passmore, Roger Passmore, Maxine Lewis and her husband Gene, and Jean Holden and her husband Jim.
Left to cherish the many memories include his loving daughter, and son-in-law, Sharon and Roger Stepp, and one very special granddaughter, Jessica Diane Stepp and her fiancé, CJ Board; sisters-in-law, Uldine Passmore, and Beth Passmore.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Jeff Passmore and Reverend Roger Stepp officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens, with Matthew Passmore, Seth Bishop, Christian Passmore, Kevin Passmore, Michael Passmore, and CJ Board serving as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the funeral home.
