James Paul Stinnett, 81, of Cleveland passed away Monday, July 1, 2019. He enjoyed NASCAR but especially enjoyed being outdoors and mowing yards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Stella Cavett Stinnett; brothers, Marvin Stinnett and Jerry Stinnett; sister, Lucille Shipman.
Survivors include his siblings, Leota (Billy) Rice, Billy (Drusilla) Stinnett, A.J. (Shirlyn) Stinnett; nieces and nephews, Ramona (David) King, Rhonda (Tom) Jolley, Chris (Diane) Stinnett, Greg (Anne) Stinnett, Terry (Niki) Stinnett, Dennis (Darlene) Stinnett, Amanda (Jimmy) Hawkins; Danny (Tinia) Stinnett, Dean (Amy) Stinnett, Mike (Vickie) Stinnett, Ann (Ronnie) German, Pam (Kirk) Allen, Jeff Stinnett, Nathan (Stacy) Shipman, Mark (Sara) Shipman; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Stinnett and Clara Stinnett; brother-in-law, W.L. Shipman. Several cousins and extended family also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Cheatham and Reverend W.L. Shipman officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the service.
