Janice Fay Fletcher White, 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend of Old Fort, peacefully departed this life on May 30, 2022, at a Chattanooga hospital with her family by her side.
She was born on November 30, 1949, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Roy C. and Ruby Wilson Fletcher. Throughout life, Ms. Janice had a creative mindset that developed many artistic talents that she enjoyed sharing with anyone. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed the many blessings of life that she was privileged to have been blessed with. Above the many blessings would be that of her family, to whom she loved and cherished dearly. In addition to her artistic talents, she was able to conquer nearly any task at hand to near perfection. Her family meant everything to her, as she did to us, and will be deeply missed by those who were privileged to have known her.
In addition to her parents, Roy and Ruby Fletcher, she was preceded by her grandparents, Larkin and Elizabeth Wilson, and William and Cornelia Fletcher; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Sybil Brackett White; son-in-law, Steven Craig Ogle.
Left to cherish the many memories include her loving and faithful husband of 53 years, Ralph Steve White; beloved daughter, Kelly (Gary) Carroll; cherished granddaughters, Stefany (Taylor) Haston, BritLee Ogle, and Kellsey Ogle; siblings, Phyllis (Gene) Price, Danny Fletcher, Sandy McClary, and David (Linda) Fletcher. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.
