Janie M. Cheatham

July 2, 1923 — January 13, 2021

Janie Mae Cheatham, 98, a resident of the Welcome Valley Community in Benton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 13, 2021. 

She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Janie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James D. and Bessie Woody; sister, Mary Magnolia Casson; brothers, Warren Woody, Taft Woody and J.D. Woody; husbands, Wesley Bolden and Homer Cheatham.

She is survived by her loving children, Marilyn Schebel and David (Connie) Bolden; grandsons, James (Marie) Gibson and Jason (Teaa) Liner; granddaughter, Christina (Dustin) Wilson; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Benton Memorial Gardens.

Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
