Johnnie Lou Wilcoxon, age 96, of Greasy Creek Community, Tennessee, passed away on July 19, 2024, due to complications from Covid.
She was born on February 11, 1928, to the late E.H. Rymer and Martha Merrell Rymer.
Johnnie Lou was known for her dedication to her family and her role as a loving mother. She worked as a devoted housewife, nurturing her children and creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. She was lifetime member of Fairview Baptist Church, in Greasy Creek Community.
In her free time, Johnnie Lou enjoyed crafting, painting, and creating scrapbooks. She was talented with her hands and loved to express herself through creativity. Sunday dinners at her home were open to anyone who came by.
Johnnie Lou Wilcoxon will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, E.H. Rymer and Martha Merrell Rymer she was preceded in death by one great grandchild and her beloved husband Joe J. Wilcoxon, whom she married in 1946.
Left to cherish the many memories include her five children, Wanda (Bob) Brazier, Doris (Dewey) Cheatham, Willard Wilcoxon, Jeannette (Terry) Dalton, Ken (Lori) Wilcoxon; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held on August 14, 2024, at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Reliance, TN.
