Joshua Lynn Gibbs

Joshua Lynn Gibbs, 32, of Benton, passed away suddenly on August 12, 2020.

Josh was a man of God, a devout husband and beloved father, who dedicated every minute of the day to his family.  He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and was a fireman for West Polk County Volunteer Fire & Rescue and served his community faithfully, always willing to help anyone in need.  Throughout life, Josh was a very hard working man and enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially when he was camping, fishing, hunting or riding through the mountains.  He was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and never missed the opportunity of saying, “Go Dawgs.”  Josh was a great friend to many and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his loving wife, Wendy Gibbs; beloved children, Taylor and Joshua Gibbs, Jr.; parents, Nettie Crowder and Reece Gibbs; sister, Jessica (Tony) Garrett and their kids; mother and father-in-law, Johnny (Nancy) Rogers; brothers-in-law, Jonathan and Charlie Rogers and families.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Garrett officiating.  Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

His family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020 and from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
