Lisa A. Thompson

Lisa Ann Thompson, 55, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, departed this life peacefully on September 5, 2023, at her home in Benton, surrounded by those that she loved most.

She was born on April 22, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Joann Bivens. She served the health care profession for 20+ years. A special thank you to Hearth Hospice Services of Cleveland, TN and Tennessee Oncology of Cleveland, TN.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved husband, Terry L. Thompson; children, Joshua (Jessica) Thompson, and Katie (Nicholas) Lewis; cherished grandchildren, Grayson and Larken Lewis; siblings, Cindy (Lee) Martin, and Butch (Debbie) Bivens. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends also remain to cherish her memory.

A private graveside will be held at Old Ocoee Cemetery following the receiving of friends and family.  Pallbearers will include Houston Jackson, Gabe Gamble, Nicholas Lewis, Scottie Lewis, Shad Nichols, and Daniel Martin. Honorary Pallbearers include Lee Martin, Grayson Lewis, and David Burns.

Family and friends will gather from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on September 8, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
