Lloyd “Snuffy” Blackwell, 66, of Castlewood, Virginia and formerly of Cleveland, departed this life on December 27, 2021.
He was born on January 4, 1955, in Benton, Tennessee to the late George and Leona Cross Blackwell. Throughout life, Snuffy had a passion for any kind of racing, especially dirt track racing, and loved playing pool. He developed a taste for Mayfield ice cream, which was the only ice cream he craved, and loved it dearly. Lloyd loved his family and friends with his whole heart and always had a smile on his face; a smile that anyone who met him will forever remember. A selfless and loving friend to all, he will be deeply missed until we meet again.
In addition to his parents, George and Leona Blackwell, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Blackwell.
Left to cherish the many memories include his brother, Floyd (Esteline) Blackwell; sister, Helen King; nieces, Tina Farris, Sue Sperry, and Peggy King; nephews, Ray King and Nathan Blackwell. Numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Mercy Tabernacle (7118 Hwy. 411, Benton, TN 37307), with Pastor Edith Blair, Rev. John Stinnett, and Bro. Scott Hembree officiating.
Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the church.
