Marilyn "Janice" Freeman

Marilyn Wilcox Freeman, 70, of Reliance, departed this life peacefully on March 14, 2023, at her home.

She was born on May 15, 1952, in Reliance, Tennessee, to the late Warren Gee and Margie Owens Wilcox.

In addition to her parents, Warren G., and Margie O. Wilcox, she was preceded by her beloved husband, Edward Leslie Freeman, and one sister, Brenda Lewis.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved daughter, Stacy (Franklin “Fuzzy”) Bowers; cherished grandchildren, Shelby Moore, Nicholas Hardin, Felisha (Shay) Park, Summer Bowers, and Tristen Bowers; great-grandchildren, Brihley Dunn, Camden Dunn, Elijah Hardin, Annika Moore, Dakota Stamey, Mckenna Bowers, Dylan Hardin, Kaylee “Little Janice” Hardin, Elyonna Cripps, Jason Baur, David Park, and Mallory Park; brothers, Donald Wilcox, and Travis Wilcox.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, with Felicia Bowers presiding.  Interment will follow at Greasy Creek Cemetery, with Michael Moore, Tristan Bowers, Steve Lowe, Donald Wilcox, Travis Wilcox, and Nicholas Hardin serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
