Martha "Tiny" Casson

Martha Susan “Tiny” Casson, 66, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on February 15, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on May 14, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late James Ira and Catherine Lewis Freeman.  Throughout life, Tiny worshipped and praised her Lord and Savior as a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.  She was an avid gardener and had a green thumb but most of all, she loved her roses.  Mrs. Casson loved her church family, her grandchildren, and her precious fur babies, who loved her dearly.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Ira J., and Catherine L. Freeman, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Wilson, and Ruth Wood.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved husband, Floyd H. Casson; loving children, James (Lori) Waller, and Alice (Steve) Hufford; adored grandchildren, Kristal Hufford, Ciara Augeri, and A.J. Glover; brother, Jim (Paula) Freeman.  Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Smyrna Baptist Church, with Pastor Jimmy Parm officiating.  Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, with Billy Goode, Jerry Bear, Steve Hufford, Jeff Bivens, Gary Howell, and Kendall Davis serving as pallbearers.

Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the church.
