Nell "Jeep" Evelyn Moorhouse

Nell Evelyn “Jeep” Stanley Moorhouse, 87, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on February 5, 2023, at a local healthcare facility.

She was born on August 5, 1935, in McFarland, Tennessee to the late James Felton and Nell E. Campbell Stanley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her sister, Genene Crump, and the father of her children, R.W. Moorhouse.

Left to cherish the many memories include her daughter, Rita (Milton) Smith, with who she made her home with; son, Robert “Butch” (Donna) Moorhouse; grandchildren, Brandi Smith, Autumn (Chris) Boggs, Stan (Kim) Moorhouse, Bo (Jamie) Moorhouse; great grandchildren, Bella Boggs, Jake Moorhouse, Chloe Moorhouse, Brice Moorhouse, and Abi Moorhouse; best friend, Shirley Bright, and one special girl, Jennica Bright.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Benton Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Ricky Woody officiating.   Jake Moorhouse, Brice Moorhouse, Kirk Campbell, Wes Bright, Bailey Bright, Dave Martin, and Tanner Jenkins will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Brady Bright, Eva Bright, Kelon Bright, and Jaley Waters, Savannah Martin, Sawyer Martin, Kenzie Stamey, Camden Childers, Cheyenne Burrell, and Jackson Epperson

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Benton Elementary School Library, 215 School House Hill, Benton, TN 37307 and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
