Nellie Green Taylor

Nellie Green Taylor, 85, a life-long resident of Polk County, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2020 at a local healthcare facility.

She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Newt and Emily Dilbeck Green and her beloved husband, Sidney Taylor; sisters, Lennie, Clemie, Effie, Louise and Blanche; brothers, Bud, Robert, Bill and Ralph.

She was the last daughter to live in their log house home place.

She leaves behind a special friend and companion, Glenn Farner; several nieces and nephews; a special great-nephew, Fred Womac, Jr. and a special great-niece, Charlene Lewis.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Benton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joe Hatcher officiating.  Scott, Haskell, Ted, Nathan, Morris and Jeffery Swafford, Steve Farner, Glenn Edward Farner and Charles McClure will serve as pallbearers.
