Ocie Ann Hicks

Ocie A. (Rhodes) Hicks, 68, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on August 17, 1954, in Ringgold, Georgia to the late James and Lois (Whittemore) Rhodes.  Throughout life, Ocie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing to have known her.  She also enjoyed camping, fishing, riding through the mountains, and just being outdoors. She had a strong passion for jigsaw puzzles. Ocie never met a stranger and was quick with a smile.

Ocie enjoyed a simple life. She did not need big, impressive things to make her happy. She was satisfied with the small things in life that brought her great happiness.

In addition to her parents, James and Lois Rhodes, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arlie Hicks; brothers, Raymond Rhodes, Charles Rhodes, and Glenn Rhodes.

Left to cherish the many memories include her children, Brandon (Valarey) Brock, and Ocie Michelle Travillian; stepchildren Rodney Hicks and Denise (Hicks) McCormick; grandchildren, Heather Brock, Caleb Travillian, Hunter Sanford, Chassie Hooker, Kelly Cottrell, Cody McCormick, and Brittany Fretz; siblings, James Rhodes, and Anita (Clayton) Pike, and sister-in-law Rena Rhodes.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special group of friends also survive.

There will be no services at this time.  The family is planning a private memorial service for a later date.
