Ona "Sue" Davis

Ona Virginia “Sue”, Davis, 87, a lifelong resident of Calhoun, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was a retired seamstress. She loved to garden, spend time with her family, go to church, and most of all she loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. She was of the Church of God faith.

She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Burrell Ellis and L.J. Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, J.C. Davis; sister, Gwendolyn Guinn, and brother, Buford “Joe” Ellis, brother, C.J. Ellis, and sister, Dean Couch.

Survivors include her son, Randy Davis and his wife Katie Davis of Calhoun; granddaughters, Mandy Bentley and husband Russell Bentley of Cleveland, GA and Kara Ingram; three great grandchildren, Jonathan Ingram, Hayley Ingram, and Sofie Goode all of Cleveland, TN, sisters; Billie Dunn, Faye Pace, Jimmie Jones, Juanette Defriese, Marilyn Dalton and their spouses; brothers, Raymond Claude Ellis and David Ellis and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Samuel Burger officiating.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Chattanooga for providing excellent end of life care.
