Ray "Bo" Cross

Ray “Bo” Cross, age 83, of Benton, passed away at his residence on Friday, April 12, 2019.   He liked to work, farm and be outside.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Cross; infant daughter, Cathy Lynn Cross; step children, Billy, Connie Debbie, Brent and Mary Jane Hawkins; parents, O. R. “Long” and Ruby Leona Chatman Cross; brother, Fred Cross; sister; Betty Jean Cross. 

He is survived by his children,; Marty (Jeni) Cross, Cindy (Eddie) Wilcox, Tina (Donald) Higdon, Gary Hawkins; grandchildren, Mason (Misty) Cross, Avery Cross, Noah Cross, Lydia Cross, Anthony Higdon, Brandi Hawkins, Trevor Hawkins; great grandchildren, Declan Cross, Emily Rotan, Ian Higdon; sisters, Carolyn (Elmer) Blackwell of Kingsport, TN, Judy (Winston) Perian of Etowah, TN brothers, Bobby Cross, Willie (Peggy) Cross of Benton, TN; several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.    

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Minister Marty Cross officiating.  Interment will follow in Benton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 in the chapel of the funeral home prior to the service.
