Robbie Pearson Wilcox

Robbie Pearson Wilcox, 72, of Reliance, TN passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In 1964 on a trip with her family to Tennessee, she met the man of her dreams, William (Frankie) Wilcox, wearing white penny loafers and driving a pink Cadillac.  She came back three weeks later and married him.  They spent 54 years together.  They owned the Big Game Checkout Station for 20 years.  She loved the store business and being around people, but her prize was when they added the Hungry Bear Deli where she fed hungry hunters and all those who liked a good bologna sandwich and pizza. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting and canning.  She loved cooking and was the best biscuit maker around.  Her family was always in her heart.  Her most precious times were spent spoiling the grandchildren.  She loved being around people, her flea market buddies and all her friends.  Her laughter brought smiles and giggles to everyone who knew her.  She brought joy and laughter to all her chemo buddies--who would laugh with her even when they did not feel like it. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Boren, Dr. Pasquale and all the staff at Memorial Oncology and 4 East. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Ruth Pearson, and a brother, Jerry Pearson,brother-in-laws, Loyd Wilcox, Billy Gene Headden, Roy Wilcox, W.C. Campbell, sister-in-laws, Juanita Garrett, Mary Ann Campbell. She is survived by her husband, William (Frankie) Wilcox; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Floyd) Taylor and Rose Anna (David) Sosebee; grandsons, Alex (Makayla) Taylor of Reliance, TN, Matthew (Ashley) Hammons of Belvidere, TN, and McKinley Sosebee of Reliance, TN; great-children, Eli and Abigail Taylor; sister, Linda (Roger) Calvert Stigler; brothers, Doug (Jodi) Pearson, Doyle (Donna) Pearson and Walter (Dianne) Merrill; brothers/sisters-in-law, Loranza and Ray Frank, Ruby Wilcox, Eddy Wilcox, Geneva and Robert Frank, Pat Pearson, Melvin and Lara Mae Wilcox, and Nancy Jane Hedden; special friends, Billy Ray and Linda Goforth; and so many more. Her funeral service will be Sunday, March 17 at Fairview Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with interment immediately following.  Reverend Cecil Williams and Reverend Chad Maxwell will be officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 16 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, Benton, TN.
