Sandra Akins

Sandra Akins, 64, a resident of Reliance, passed away July 28, 2019 at her residence with her family at her side.  She was a member of Ocoee Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Nicholas Killian; parents, Thomas and Bonnie Farmer; brothers, Gus Farmer, Frank Farmer, Danny Farmer and David Farmer.

Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, C. B. Akins; children, Marcus Killian, Jody (Tammy) Killian; grandchildren, Heather Killian, Macayla Killian, Hunter Killian, Kaitlyn Killian, Rodney L. Killian, Shannon Killian; great grandchild, Landon Killian; sister, Donna (Gary) Woodby; brothers, Lee Roy (Judy) Farmer, Kenneth (Cheryl) Farmer.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Cheatham and Reverend Blake Wilcox officiating.  Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in Archville Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Her family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Killian, Seth Farmer, Jarrod Farmer, Gabe Farmer, Gavin Farmer, Jimmy Trentham and Ryan Rowland.
