Savannah J. White

Savannah J. White, 80, of Benton, departed this life on March 5, 2022, at her residence. 

She was born April 9, 1941, to the late John and Dessie Casson.

Throughout life, Ms. Savannah enjoyed her flowers and loved to sit and watch hummingbirds and butterflies.  During her down time, she loved to watch old western’s and playing Pokémon.  Savannah loved fishing, bowling, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.  She will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Left to cherish the many memories include her beloved daughters, Nellie (Thomas) Haulk and Janet Myers; ex-husband, David White; cherished grandchildren, Daniel and Renee Toro Abercrombie, Robin Abercrombie, Lani Kamakaiwi, Matthew (Ruthdian) Haulk, Jeffery (Kayla) Haulk, Caleb (Taylor) Haulk and Joseph “Joe Joe” Shaun Weaver; great grandchildren, Christoph Haulk and Lennon Rogers; step-great grandchildren, Channel Sherman, D.J. Sherman, Grace Sherman, J.T. Lex Liam and Douglas Hoff; sisters, Mary Casson Randolph, Sue Casson Boles and Beulah Casson Weaver; sisters-in law, Vickie Buckner, and Alice Marshall and brother-in-law, Sonny White. A host of family and friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her son, John Weaver; grandson, Aaron Haulk and son-in-law, Richard “Ricky” Myers and several brother and sisters.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Reverend Andy Haulk officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Family and friends will gather from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
