Stephen Bernard Guillaume

August 20, 1947 — September 13, 2020

Stephen Bernard Guillaume, 73 of Delano, TN (formerly of Seminole, FL) passed away peacefully Sunday morning, September 13, 2020 at home. He had suffered from COPD and cancer and was under Hospice care.

Steve was born in Chicago, Illinois August 20, 1947.  His parents were Bernard and Ethylle Guillaume.  The family moved from Antioch, Illinois when Steve was 5.  He learned to love the Gulf Beaches when his parents bought the Ebb Tide Motel on Treasure Island.  Steve fulfilled his lifelong desire to live in the mountains when he retired to Tennessee in 2018.

Steve attended Benton Station Baptist Church where he especially enjoyed Sunday School and worshiping with his church family.  We rest assured that Steve is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Steve was a retired auto mechanic.  He enjoyed classic cars and going to car shows any chance he could get.  You could always find him outside tinkering on one car or another.

Steve loved his family and enjoyed being surrounded by them whenever possible, especially family gatherings. He always put his children and grandchildren first and made sure their needs were met.  Steve had an extraordinary sense of humor and loved making people laugh.  He loved travelling and being in the mountains.  Steve will be missed by innumerable friends both in Tennessee and Florida.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Ethylle and Bernard Guillaume.  He is survived by his children, Tim (Wanda) Guillaume, Stephanie (James) Hawkins, and Elizabeth (Kelly) McGee, 7 grandchildren, Ryan (Nathalie) Dorr, Melissa (Michael) Bühler, Caitlyn Reed, Daniel Reed, William Hawkins, Ruby Jean and Stella Grace McGee.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
