Ted “Pop” Cain, 89, of Reliance, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his beloved family.
He was born on June 13, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles William and Hildegard Francesca Zydeck Cain. At a young age Ted and his family moved to Florida, where he grew up until making his residence in Tennessee. Pop was a great outdoorsman and could be found sitting in his corner at Reliance Fly & Tackle. He owned and operated Ted Cain Tile Co. for 59 years and loved spending time with his friends and family while having a great love for Ford’s and drag racing.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Cain.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Sharon Corbett Cain; son, Dan (Nikki) Cain; grandchildren, Courtney Cain, Dani Cain and Ian Cain; one great-granddaughter, Mila Dukes; one sister, Karen Cain Rafferty; and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton. Private burial will follow on the Cain Family Property.
His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
