Terry Thompson

Terry Thompson, 66, a resident of Benton and formerly of Maryville, departed this life peacefully on August 24, 2024.

He was born on November 17, 1957, to the late J.C. and Marie Hicks Thompson. Terry was known for being a skilled universal electrician and would speak to anyone he encountered. He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, J.C. and Marie Thompson, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lisa Bivens Thompson; one sister, Pat Thompson; and one brother, Bill Thompson.

Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved daughter, Katie (Nicholas) Lewis; cherished grandsons, Grayson and Larken Lewis; one brother, Larry Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Old Ocoee Cemetery, with Nicholas and Grayson Lewis, Gabe Gamble, Houston Jackson, Andre Busby, Willie Proctor, and Shad Nichols serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Burns, Jason King, and Brad Underwood.

Family and friends will gather from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
