Winston R. Shelton

Winston R. Shelton, 82, of Delano, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2018 at his residence.  Winston has been a Baptist minister since July 6, 1969 and was a carpenter by trade.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Ina Wilcox Shelton; son, Douglas Ray Shelton; five brothers, Cletis, Don, James, Harvey and Norman; and one sister, Margie.   

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Irene Wilcox Shelton; son, Woodley; two grandsons, Keith and Paul; one granddaughter, Jennifer; and two sisters, Carolyn Croft and Kathy Hawkins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with the Reverend Johnny Moore officiating.  Interment will be held at Delano Cemetery following the services.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home prior to the service.
